Chapter Summary: Chapter Three will cover the revolution from Ogé and Mackandal through the vodou ceremony at Bois Caïman, to its immediate aftermath. It will track the gathering storm and analyze the shuffling of alliances and power in the colony as a result of the rebels' actions. In this chapter we will be introduced to the early rebel army and its generals, Jean François Papillon, Georges Biassou, and Jeannot Bullet
