re creole translation
The primary language of this site is English at this point although there's information in Kreyol.
See for example: Decree abolishing slavery in the North of Saint-Domingue (1793) this document by Sonthonax which is posted in the original version.
There is also material such as the 'Mèsi Papa Desalin' poem by Morisseau-Leroy. If you have more in Kreyol or are able to translate go ahead. Of course the whole site could be also translated into another language and made an entirely different web site... --Doe 06:03, 1 December 2007 (PST)
