I hate locking the wiki down at all, but I'm getting tired of cleaning up after these guys all the time... and I'm sure you are, too. | |

John Perkins

I'll make a note on this elsewhere, but for your knowledge, I moved the wiki up one directory level, so that now if you go to the root url, you'll be right into the wiki. More spam fighting
Well, the new version of MediaWiki had the spammers stumped for a while, but they're starting to find the holes again. So, I added a few restrictions to try to keep them at bay. I hate locking the wiki down at all, but I'm getting tired of cleaning up after these guys all the time... and I'm sure you are, too.
I restricted anonymous users from editing and creating pages. And, I'm requiring users to confirm their email addresses before they can edit. That should slow them down again... for a while... :-)
